Meet Dr Nathalie Gallichan

Dr Nathalie Gallichan is a registered Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry and Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. She provides specialist children's dental care across North Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside, welcoming both self-referrals and referrals from dental professionals.

Known for her calm, gentle and patient-centred approach, Nathalie is passionate about helping children feel comfortable and confident during dental treatment.

She believes every child deserves a positive dental experience and is committed to delivering personalised care tailored to each child's individual needs.

Outside of work, Nathalie enjoys spending time with her young family. She is a keen ballet dancer, and dabbles in baking sourdough.

Her experience as both a clinician and a parent helps her understand the concerns many families face when seeking dental care for their children, and she strives to create a welcoming and reassuring experience for every patient she meets.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Extensive Training in Children's Dental Care

Nathalie qualified from the University of Leeds in 2013 and has since gained extensive experience across hospital settings during Foundation Training and Dental Core Trainee in Yorkshire, Cheshire and Merseyside.

She worked across a range of dental and healthcare specialties, including:

  • Orthodontics

  • Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

  • Adult Special Care Dentistry

  • Dental Public Health

  • Community Dental Services

This broad experience has given her a comprehensive understanding of children's oral health and the wider factors that can influence dental care.

Nathalie completed her specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry at Liverpool Dental Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital, as a NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow, and joined the General Dental Council Specialist Register in Paediatric Dentistry in 2023.

In 2025, she was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, England, in recognition of her specialist training, experience and expertise.

Regional Representative for Dental Trauma UK since 2018
